Kern County Hockey Scrip

Scrip is a great fundraiser that allows you to raise money by shopping with gift cards for everyday purchases like food, clothing and entertainment. Each scrip gift card you buy earns a rebate for your non-profit organization, the Kern County Hockey Club. Our club then credits your account in the amount of the rebate. Scrip is an easy, “no-selling” fundraiser.

There are no membership fees or application fees. We simply pay face value for the gift cards or certificates that we order and the club receives a percentage (rebate) from the supplier. The beauty of the scrip concept lies in the fact that our club members raise money by using their existing household shopping budget. Some families may enlist relatives, friends and neighbors to buy scrip. But unlike other fundraising programs, scrip families do not have to “sell” anything to raise money for their organization

In order to begin purchasing the gift cards, you will need to set up an account on their website www.shopwithscrip.com. To begin, click on the green box on left hand side of the screen that says “Family Sign Up”. Please list your child as the student and their team (such as Squirts) as their teacher so that I will know who to give the gift cards to as well as who gets the credit. You will need to list Kern County Hockey Club as the organization. Our enrollment code is: 8C67LA8A27847.

General Information

Great Lakes Scrip Center purchases the certificates directly from the retailers. The certificates we provide are the same gift certificates you would buy if you went to the participating retailer and purchased them yourself. The certificates are accepted at all participating retailer locations.
Payment must be received for all orders before they are released for shipment. Each member decides if they want to pay by check (delivered to coordinator) or by PrestoPay (debit from your checking account).
All orders are shipped to your organization’s normal shipping address via FedEx. I will deliver the gift cards to the rink once they arrive.
There is no cost to open an account and no obligation to buy anything. Just complete your enrollment application, and GLSC will open an account for you and mail you a confirmation.
GLSC has no minimum order amount. However, there is a modest shipping charge which applies to each order, so it may be impractical for you to order just one or two certificates.
Delivery time will vary depending on which delivery service level you choose. All FedEx delivery times are calculated from the time your order leaves our offices, not when you submit your order.
Organizations that use ShopWithScrip.com can also take advantage of PrestoPay, GLSC’s online payment method for families. ShopWithScrip provides electronic options for families that will enable the organization to earn rebates without a shipping fee.

Families can reload a gift card that was purchased earlier from GLSC.
